Volunteer/Worker Agreement:
Thank you for your interest in signing up to volunteer with Emerald City Consignment. This is an agreement between you and Emerald City Consignment in regard to your time as a volunteer. I am so grateful for your time. This sale simply couldn't happen without you. Volunteers are the heart of this event, and your help makes a huge impact.
This agreement outlines your commitment as a volunteer and what to expect during your shift. There's a lot to be done, and every role is important!
Volunteer tasks may include:
-
Setting up or breaking down racks
-
Inspecting clothing for stains, damage, or wear
-
Organizing merchandise
-
Monitoring entry doors
-
Assisting with loading/unloading
-

Please be flexible with your assingment. Roles will be given when your arrive, and may shift as the needs of the sale change.
If you need to change your volunteer time, please log in and make the necessary changes as soon as possible. It is difficult for me to remember verbal changes as busy as it can get during the day. I will print an update of the shift report nightly. We rely on full coverage for the sale to run smoothly. Missing or changing a shift without notice will affect your consignor earnings (each shift earns you an extra 5%)
When you arrive for your shift:
1. Please park in a spot farther away from the building to save parking for those dropping off or shopping the sale.
2. Sign in
3.. Pick up your Volunteer Pass each time you work a shift. This is your ticket to shop early and get entered for a chance to win a $25 gift card to your favorite local business.
Volunteers will receive the following benefits:
Signing up for one 8 hour shift will result in a 75/25 split. Please check for shift-hour changes. Some shifts may be longer than others depending on days/times.
Signing up for two 8 hour shifts OR MORE will result in a 80/20 split.
Breakdown:
8 Hours=75% of sales earned
16 Hours or more= 80% of sales earned
Volunteers will get to shop early ahead of the public!

Shopping During Your Work Shift

1) Each volunteer who wishes to shop must bring a laundry basket and label it with your name. Any items that you find during the sale must be put in this basket. Any items not in baskets will be put back on the sales floor. There will be a designated place in the break room for your baskets.

2) Items in your basket must be purchased before you leave your shift for the day/night.

3) Any item found in your basket after your shift will be put back on the sales floor.

4) The break room will be cleaned out nightly. This will ensure that each consignor gets the fair price for their items.

Thank you for your understanding.

Wear comfortable shoes and clothing and bring some snacks and a drink if you will be there a while. Also, feel free to bring your child. Children under 16 can help customers with starting piles, retrieving and returning baskets, and floor duties. No children at the checkout tables or registers please.
I appreciate your willingness to jump in wherever needed. Your help truly makes a difference!
****THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
